Hi friends, It’s been a while since I’ve shared an update on my creative life, but I have some very exciting news to share. After taking a three year hiatus from writing, in between healing and growing as a writer I’m finally ready to introduce you to something very close to my heart: my new book series, The Claires. 🌙✨ This story has lived in the background of my mind for years—a soft, strange, magical little seed that’s grown with me through some of the hardest seasons of my life. And now, it’s time to bringing it into the light! The Claires is a YA paranormal fantasy book and super different than anything I've ever written. It's deeply rooted in queerness, in occupying the margins of society, and emotional transformation. On the surface its about four teens with psychic powers coming together to fight monsters born of grief and fear. At its core, it’s about finding people that become like family—and fighting to keep them. On Friday, June 27th at 12:00 PM EST, I’ll be going live on my YouTube channel to read the first chapter of The Claires—for the very first time. This live reading is generously sponsored by the Writers’ Union of Canada’s and Canada's Council For The Arts.
